Modern Mid-Length Hairstyles

Midi hairstyles are  having a fashion moment in 2024.  During 2023 mid-length wolf cuts and shags were popular, but this year stylists predict the midi will become more sophisticated, with fewer layers.

The Hush Haircut

The hush cut includes soft face-framing layers and a wispy fringe.  It is layered throughout to distribute the weight of the hair and create movement.  This allows it to fall into place and look great, with minimum styling required.  As its name suggests, it’s the perfect light and relaxed style for the new year.

With its feathered layers and delicate tendrils, the hush is a flattering look for most face shapes.

Lobs and Italian Bob Hairstyles

The Italian bob first started trending in 2023 and it’s popularity is surging.  It’s a subtly-layered look which has plenty of natural movement and body and it’s cut slightly longer than the popular French bob.  It’s a versatile haircut which is easy to style for a natural, bouncy look.

Fringe Haircuts For 2024

Adding a fringe or bangs is a brilliant way to transform your look for the new year without losing any length.  Trending for 2024 are Birkin bangs, a heavy fringe with soft feathered edges.  

We’re also seeing the return of short baby bangs, cut above the eyebrows.
