What to Expect At Your Ear Piercing Appointment

The Caflon piercing system offers the highest quality ear piercing equipment, which is used worldwide. Together with Caflon, we are committed to providing safe ear piercing for all our clients.

We provide quick and efficient ear lobe piercing using a gun system.  Our aim is to make the experience as comfortable for you as possible. Getting your ear lobes pierced should feel like a quick pinch.

Your ears will be pierced with Caflon piercing studs.  These arrive with us hygienically sealed in pairs and we never touch them before use.  They are put onto the piercing gun direct from the package to ensure they remain sterile.  Our therapists also wear gloves throughout the procedure.

Your therapist will answer any questions you have before the procedure and will provide full after-care advice.

Healing After Your Ear Piercing

Ear lobe piercings take 6-8 weeks to heal with the proper aftercare. When your ear piercings have healed, you can change the jewellery.

If your ears feel a little sensitive after healing, we recommend that you wear sterling silver earrings at first. This is because sterling silver is generally considered to be hypoallergenic.

Make sure to always wear some earrings in your lobe piercings for the first year after you've had your ears pierced to ensure the hole doesn't close up.

How To Clean Your New Ear Piercing

It's important that you look after your piercing properly once you've left the salon.

You should clean your piercing 2-3 times a day. Use saline solution or your chosen piercing aftercare solution applied to a cotton bud or cotton pad. Clean the front and back of the piercing to make sure it's looked after properly.

Rotate your earrings gently with small half turns when cleaning. However, do not turn the earring completely. This can lead to caught hair wrapped around the inside of the piercing. Wash your hands before and after cleaning your piercing!

When you first change your piercing, make sure to thoroughly clean the front and back of the piercing site before putting in a new piercing.
